Festival Food Truck Rundown
By: Nikki West
Plaza Festival is known for showcasing art, live music, and interactive children’s activities-but do you know the real gem of Festival? Food. For the last 20 years, the Plaza Festival has brought in an array of delicious, diverse, and mouth-watering food options for patrons of all tastes and palates to enjoy. This year, there will be TEN food truck options guaranteed to satisfy even the pickiest taste buds. I am going to give you the Festival food truck rundown so that you, and your stomach, are sure to be satisfied.
Fan of dehydrated meats? I thought so. Jerky.com will be at Festival this year offering a wide selection of jerky flavors. Not a jerky lover? Don’t worry; they will also be offering deep fried peanuts and licorice. Make sure to follow Jerky.com on Facebook and Instagram for a preview of all the jerky goodness.
2. Sizzle N Spice
Sizzle N Spice is Oklahoma’s first ever tandoori style food truck-and it doesn’t disappoint. With offerings such as chicken tikka masala, curry and rice Bowls, gyros, and vegan curry options you know your appetite will be satisfied. Check them out on Facebook for a look at the spicy, savory, and delicious Indian-style goodness that is Sizzle N Spice.
3. The Loaded Bowl
Since the #vegan trend doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon, you know Festival would provide food truck options for the more health conscious patrons. The Loaded Bowl offers conscious comfort food that is sure to satisfy vegans and non-vegans alike. Loaded Nachos, Down Home Bowl, and Cashew Mac N Cheese are just some of the options that can be found at The Loaded Bowl. I can personally attest that Cashew Mac N Cheese is out of this world, and you can’t even tell (*can barely tell) it isn’t made with real dairy. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram, so that you can tag them when you post your #vegan #healthy selfie with one of their delicious Quinoa Bowls.
4. Mighty Corndog
This isn’t your traditional corndog. Mighty Corndog takes comfort food favorites and combines them with the traditional corndog to create…the Mighty Corndog! Some examples of these Mighty ‘Dogs include Reubens Little Cousin, El Chapo, ‘Merica, and more. To check out the rest of their menu and browse some mouthwatering dogs, check out their Facebook page.
5. C’est Si Bon
C’est Si Bon is one of the best, if not the number one, Cajun food truck in Oklahoma City. C’est Si Bon specializes in catfish, po’boys, and Southern cooking. If you visit this food truck, make sure you have an empty stomach, as you will want to try a little bit of everything. C’est Si Bon translates to “It’s so good” and this establishment has earned its namesake with their top notch Cajun cuisine. Make sure to follow them on Facebook.
6. Big Truck Tacos
Check out this cult favorite at Festival and enjoy comida deliciosa. Check out their Facebook here.

You will be able to enjoy all of the Festival goodness starting at 11 am until 10 pm. All the trucks will be parked on North Indiana Ave between 16th & 17th Street. I look forward to seeing (and eating) everything that the 20th Annual Plaza Festival has to offer-see y’all there!Big Truck Tacos offers a variety of Mexican street food offerings including tacos, burritos, flautas, salads, quesadillas, and more.
