If an artist is selected and provides availability for 4 months, the fee will be an additional $60. Likewise, for 3 months, the fee will be $45. Along with an acceptance email, a schedule will also be sent.
The advance fee is to hold artists accountable for showing up. Previous years, we have done check in the day of; we understand that there will sometimes need to be cancellations (due to weather or other engagements) and artists may not be selected for all of the months they desired, so we will also compile a list of substitutes for each month. If inclement weather occurs, rescheduling will be arranged.

All artists will set up along the 16th Street sidewalk.
Availability: There will only be 20 artists selected. Artists must submit this online application to be considered as one of the 20 artists for the outdoor artist market. Each month, only 10 artists will be selected for that month. Please indicate on the form which month(s) you would prefer and we will do our best to accommodate.

Selection Process: There will be a committee of judges including local artists, district business owners and frequent event visitors to gain a broad perspective when selecting LIVE on the Plaza artists. Because we are trying to keep the Plaza District and LIVE diverse, no preferential treatment will be given to previously selected artists.

November LIVE on the Plaza

November

LIVE on the Plaza, November 8th, 7pm-11pm
For the past few weeks, the Plaza District has joined together with The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to collect canned goods for donation to help fight hunger in our state. The Plaza District will also be joining together with LIVE on the Plaza sponsor, Fowler Volkswagen of Norman, to create a community art project with donated cans. The city and state have experienced a lot of growth and the Plaza District has worked to pull the community out of its blight but there are still several people in need and we want to work together to help the people in need in our community.

We know there’s a stereotype that the bearded persuasion likes to frequent 16th Street, so why not make a celebration of it? A large group of gentlemen have been growing their beards for Tree & Leaf Clothing’s annual “Pogonotrophy” Competition, (that means Grow A Beard!) All participants gather together to show off their all their bearded glory and be judged in 6 different categories. May the best beard win!

Our friends at Istvan Gallery and Urban Art are celebrating their 7th Anniversary with works from 5 local artists creating installations in the gallery.

Along with work by featured artist and photographer, Jay Post, The Parish can also help you get your caffeine fix with $1 espresso. Stop and stay awhile for live music from Gabriel Knight and Clovis Culture. Pianist Andrew May will be playing at Bad Granny’s at 8pm. IVC Galleries will be showcasing sculptures from Will Mantor.

Feeling like creating some work of your own? Register for a class at Paint N Cheers. Friday’s painting will be, “OK Home.” Classes are only $25 with canned food donations. THEE EEND Puppetry will also be joining us for interactive projector fun. Guests can manipulate shadows and projections and create unique images of their own.
