Fine Art Novelty at Its Finest: The Toymaker is Back!

  • Kasum Contemporary 1706 NW 16th St Oklahoma City, OK, 73106 United States

There is something absolutely novel about the bizarre art toys of Oklahoma City resident Allin KHG. His creations range from the sexually humorous to the downright dark depths of laughable. This is exemplified by the artist’s work titled We’re Gonna Need A Bigger Boat; an oversized four legged sperm which bounces its way across tabletops while expressing its ever increasing desire to “Bounce with you.” Switch on any of these “Toys” and you are sure to get a reaction; because these toys aren’t for your children or the faint of heart. This July, Kasum Contemporary Fine Art, will be exhibiting a selection of 32 toys from the artist’s Muses for a Nightmare art toy series; a collection of recreated “Once Toys” which have been reanimated to amuse anew. The novelties range from $20.00 to $300.00 with a focus on works in the $30.00 – $40.00 range. Gift givers seeking something completel y unexpected will find exactly what they are looking for in abundance at this show. Mark your calendars and bring your childish heart for the opening of the show to be held on Friday, July 10th from 7:00-10:00 pm during Live on the Plaza at Kasum Contemporary Fine Art. The artist will be in attendance for the reception and the event will exhibit through the weekend. Visitors are invited to laugh a little while engaging with Allin’s darkly humored creations in the adult-sized toy box. Event attendance is free and open to the public.
