The Toy Maker, The Bizarrely Cool Creations of Allin KHG @ Kasum Contemporary

There is something absolutely novel about the bizarre art toys of Oklahoma City resident Allin KHG. His creations range from the sexually humorous to the downright dark depths of laughable; as exemplified by the artist’s work titled Seal Pup which writhes in pain while emitting seal pup cries or the Sri Lanka Sex Hotel which bobs furiously to the “Squawking, Walking, Talking Chicken Laying Song”. Switch on any of these “Toys” and you are sure to get a reaction; because these toys aren’t for your children or the faint of heart. This December, Kasum Contemporary Fine Art, will be exhibiting a selection of 36 toys from the artist’s Muses For A Nightmare art toy series; a collection of recreated “Once Toys” which have been reanimated to amuse anew. The pieces will range from $20.00 - $300.00 with a focus on works in the $30.00 – $40.00 range. “The First Toy” circa 1989 will a lso be on exhibit and available for the first time. Gift givers seeking something completely unexpected will find exactly what they are looking for in abundance at this show. Mark your calendars and bring your childish heart for the opening of the show to be held on Friday, December 12th from 7:00-11:00 pm during Live on the Plaza at Kasum Contemporary Fine Art. The artist will be in attendance for the reception and the event will exhibit through the New Year.
