LOVE on the Plaza – a night to remember! Whether it’s a date on the town, or a gals night out, all are invited to enjoy romance and friendship strolling 16th Street’s local art, music and shopping.

There are two tickets to Paris Rouge, Civic Center’s triple bill production, with your name on it! Then, grab your date, or grab your pals and come dress to the 9s in the Fowler VW LOVE on the Plaza photobooth. We are proud to welcome Tree & Leaf’s own Drink N Draw crew – a group of awesome local artists doing quick caricatures, just for you! You can even take the one of a kind sketches home for free!
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Don’t forget to check in to our awesome retailers, DNA Galleries, Collected Thread, Dig It! and Bad Granny’s! Dig It! will be having a huge winter clearance sale – get your goods quick! Preparing for Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras too? Check out Bad Granny’s for your masquerade needs! If you’re needing your floral fix, Cole Dewey Designs will be open, showing off her unique Valentine’s arrangements. Free delivery on Valentine’s Day for those who order during LIVE!
Meet the new kids on the block! Visit Paints N Cheers new creative social studio, just down Gatewood. They will be holding a soft-opening for you to view their new space, open soon to give you the guidance to create your own “art” masterpiece! A place to definitely keep in mind for future date ideas! While you’re down there, peak in the windows of The Salvage Room to see what another great new business has in store for you! Although not a newbie to the Plaza, check out the Gatewood neighbors at Gallery 1612. There will be a meet & greet with house artists Rebekah Ray and K-luh Em, featuring new works from both!

You can check out free live music by punk band Our Sky is Falling at The Parish a long with photography for viewing and purchase by Michael Allen Wells and Eric Payton. And as always, they’ll have $1 espresso, coffee and tea to your caffeine fix in! Art, music, coffee – you’re set!
After you’ve done a bit of vintage and retro shopping, you can rock out to Mighty Big Fire in Bad Granny’s Backroom!
Just across the street from Bad Granny’s, PhotoArt will be featuring OPUBCO photographer, Doug Hoke, in his exhibit, “The Metro: Through the Eyes of Doug Hoke.” DNA Galleries will also be featuring artists Jason Pawley & John Young, check out some great local art while you shop their handmade goods!
Just off 16th, we also have artists down Blackwelder. Check out The Society’s current show, “Be Brave: Show Your Love” and Max at Bomb Shelter has always got something artsy and exciting up his sleeve!
Before or after your stroll on the Plaza, be sure to visit our friends down at Istvan Gallery. There will be an Artist Reception and Open House, featuring artists William Struby, Alesa Clymer, Marvin Lee and DNA’s own Amanda Bradway! Just down the hall, there will be glass blowing demonstrations by artists at Blue Sage Studio. This event is something you’ll definitely want to visit! In short walking distance, Urban Art Galleries are located just down the street at 1218 N Western.
